Article ID: D150124) Peshawar — Attempting to exhort Muslims worldwide to wage jihad, Mullah Mohammad Omar, chief of the Taliban Movement, has said Muslims cannot achieve victories over the infidels without unity and jihad
He warned that the martyrdoms of Mufti Nizamuddin Shamzai and Commander Nek Mohammad would be avenged. Instead of criticizing General Pervez Musharraf, Pakistani mujahideen should arrange for their defense. In a message faxed to newspapers, Mullah Omar said he is now confronting with crusader imperialists in certain mountains in Afghanistan.
Omar told mujahideen and Afghan Muslims that he would perform such services that future generations of Afghans can look back at the nation’s history and feel proud of him. He stressed that Muslims worldwide should establish a country that operates under the Islamic system like the one implemented in the former Afghanistan [when the Taleban was in power]. The establishment of an Islamic republic would defeat western forces. Chechnya would be conquered and Hindus would face a crushing defeat. All the infidel forces from east to west unite against the Muslims. Similarly, the mujahideen throughout the world should unite under Sheikh Usama’s leadership and attack the infidels. The mujahideen of Palestine and Chechnya will confront the infidels, and they will be remembered as brave warriors.
But if Muslims fail to unite, their daughters will suffer inhuman atrocities like what was committed at Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo and Bagram jails. Mullah Omar appealed to the entire Muslim community to rise [against the infidels] and wage jihad to prevent future repetitions of such incidents [atrocities against Muslims]. He added that this was all for the honor of the community and the independence of Afghanistan, Iraq, Chechnya, and Palestine.
Muslims would be committing a great blunder if they just sit idle and wait for an appropriate time to wage jihad. Omar asked Muslims not to close their eyes and ignore Islamic junctions, adding that they should not wait for an appropriate time because jihad is an obligation of all Muslims. People who fear death and have been disappointed with national leaders, I [Omar] want to give them a message that we will very soon achieve major successes and several big territories will be conquered.
He said that the crusade forces are now facing a defeat, and because of which they are once again offering to hold negotiations [with the Taliban]. He said some countries are not ready to accept that the crusade forces are facing a defeat in Afghanistan. The Taliban have occupied much of Zabul and Orzugan provinces, and there is a public movement along Ghazni and Kandahar routes in the evening. He warned the coalition forces to restrict the presence of their troops within Kabul; otherwise, the Taliban would teach them an exemplary lesson by repeating the history of Afghanistan. Mullah Omar stressed that Pakistani jihadi forces and mujahideen should not to criticize General Pervez Musharraf. Rather, they should make defense arrangements by themselves.
The deaths of Mufti Nizamuddin Shamzai and Commander Nek Mohammad should be avenged in order to preserve the dignity and honor of our eminent personalities. It is the duty of every Muslim to avenge the blood of these martyrs. Mullah Omar said according to the information he gathered about the death of Mufti Shamzai, an agent of crusaders had interviewed him [Shamzai] about Wana under the guise of a journalist. Instead of publishing it in the newspaper, he provided all the information that he had gathered about Mufti Shamzai to the US Embassy in Islamabad.
On the basis of this information, the FBI killed him. A BBC journalist was used in the killing of Commander Nek Mohammad. This journalist got Nek Mohammad’s telephone number and called him on his cell phone. In this way the Americans were able to know about his hideout. After this, spy planes found Nek Mohammad, and in this way he was martyred. Mullah Omar ruled that journalists who work for infidel forces deserve to be killed, and they should be murdered.
